Spinsters on the Move

All right, it's been over a week, but I figured I should update all on the great exodus from my apartment. The move actually went very well, all things considered. The movers showed up, packed everything up on the truck, and schlepped all my stuff over to the house in Agawam.

I've decided to refer to the house as the Avacado House, since it was built and decorated sometime during the mid 1970s, and avacado green was clearly one of Michael's mother's favorite colors. There's avacado shag carpeting throughout most of the house, avacado appliances, an all avacado bathroom upstairs, and even avacado accented wallpaper (well, wallpaper of all atrocious colors and patterns EVERYWHERE). Ahhhh, avacado. I like to eat avacados, but I'm not so sure about living in one. Hmmmmmmmm. . . But, it does have central air, a dish washer, and a washer and dryer. So, I can't really complain, avacado or not.

Currently, I am visiting family in Illinois, so I will begin the search for a new apartment once I return. I'm not looking forward to the experience, since finding my last apartment was so incredibly difficult. I realize that I only had a weekend to look last time, and that I had little knowledge of the area. So, I know that it shouldn't be as awful this time, and I hope that I will find something as nice as my last place. I'm not feeling quite as depressed anymore about the whole situation, though I know I will really miss living in my "old" apartment. I'll miss having Michael for a landlord and a neighbor. But like I said, I hope to find something just as nice, and maybe even in the same area.
